I remember A3-40 being painted in in the OC'S Jim Flemming colours and his flying the aircraft.
HE LOVED TO BUZ THE BASE. and we loved it to.
I was working Air movement Williamstown one day when our boss decided he would help load the aircraft a C130 and drive the fork lift a 18,000lb HYSTER L4. We did point out he didn't have a ticket to drive the fort lift but.
Well just as the boss was coming up to the aircraft Jim Flemming in A3-40 came over and Buzzed the airfield right beside us and the boss put a hole into the back of the aircraft, Our boss was also the transport officer and had a L4 ticket that afternoon. The C130 pilot was not happy.
Thanks Jim loved it
